In addition to always being accessible to the public, the bridge would feature moving walkways. The bridge would be located 50 feet above Lower Broadway between Mystic and Dexter Streets. ![]() The focal point of the $3.7 million project would be a 425-foot long, enclosed pedestrian bridge with climate control. It would feature a two-story restaurant, retail space, a seven-floor parking garage with spaces for 2,310 vehicles and an event center with seating for 1,800 patrons. At 900,000 square feet, the building, known as East of Broadway, would be adjacent to Encore Boston Harbor. As if a five-star hotel and highly profitable casino were not enough, Wynn Development recently submitted a proposal to construct a mixed-use event venue on Lower Broadway.
